"I wrongly assumed they'd be a party metal kinda thing based on the mad name. Liam corrected me on it - honestly google it and you'll understand.

Any band starting their set with the words 'f*cke the tories' are likely to make more friends than enemies just about anywhere - they did.

Musically it was metal. Then it was punk. Then thrash. 

Finally I remembered a band I could best compare them to - Gang Green. Riffs, solos and attitude all reminded me of one of the most underrated bands of a generation.

A circle pit to rival any I'd seen at the venue.

Someone representing a major ice cream brand also got a shout out (Vendetta UKHC haha) 

A frontman dressed in pink leg warmers, some frankly terrifying shorts, light up sunglasses and a tshirt with a dinosaur and a sloth on kinda tells you they're making their own rules.

And the message never felt more relevant - this band sum up all our underground, metal, stick it to the person of choice, let me be me beliefs."

"The five-piece are on top form, so much so that the handful of people in the venue at the start, grows and grows as AWAP put on a kickass show. So impressive, while having a bit of fun on stage, they play as though there are 10,000 people in attendance and it really wins over any doubters in this crowd. Already, it seems as though the bar has been set."
